Introduction #
You are set up with an Army AVD account and you are ready access the virtual desktop.
Problem #
You are having issues adding a workspace to the virtual desktop application.
Resolution #
Download the appropriate application based on your operating system and then add the workspace.
Microsoft Windows Application #
Continue your set-up via Windows. Ensure that the Azure Virtual Desktop configuration is the desktop application downloaded from the appropriate source:
- NOTE: Do not use the Windows Store version (many users are ignoring this warning)
- Download the Remote Desktop client for Windows
macOS Application #
Continue your set-up via macOS. Ensure that the Azure Virtual Desktop configuration is the desktop application downloaded from the appropriate source:
- NOTE: Do not use the Mac App Store (MAS) version (many users are ignoring this warning)
- Download the Remote Desktop client for macOS
- Connect your CAC reader and insert your CAC
- Click the “Add Workspace” button
- Add the following URL: rdweb.wvd.azure.us
- Click “Add”
- You will be prompted to login
- Enter your A365 email (will end in ‘@army.mil’)
- Enter your PIN
- Your servers/resources will load and you are ready to proceed
